Reduction of Open Pore Size

Large open pores on the forehead and upper cheeks are commonly seen in the Asian population. Related to greasy skin and sun damage, the tropical climate of Singapore exacerbates the condition.

Many treatments and face creams claim to reduce the size of open pores, but this problem remains difficult to resolve. We have seen some success with the Easy TCA peel, Meso-Botox and the Microneedle Dermaroller. None of these produce immediate results.

The smaller pores are barely visible after the treatment, and the larger ones are less obvious. Repeated sessions at monthly intervals are needed for improved and sustained results.

The treatment is done with the device in Rejuvenation mode. Multiple passes are done over each area for best results. The sensation of heat is minimised by the repeated application of ice over the treated area. This keeps the treatment comfortable and does not compromise the results.

The pore reduction treatment is done either as a stand alone treatment, or as an add-on after non-surgical face lifting with the DermaRF radiofrequency machine.
